WCC Mature Driver Reviews

Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership supports Warwickshire residents to carry on driving safely for as long as possible

Following the clock change signalling the onset of winter, Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership is offering road safety advice to help keep drivers safe behind the wheel and providing a timely reminder of their mature driver reviews.

The mature driver review is funded by WCC and is an hour-long bespoke session, tailored to the individuals needs with an approved driving instructor. The assessment is particularly suited to drivers 70 + with over twenty years of driving experience.

Can You Help?

During the pandemic, VASA continued working non-stop across south Warwickshire and Rugby district offering its transport services and has provided transport for over 1,000 Covid vaccine appointments. Plus, ferrying prescriptions to people’s homes and being involved with delivering food parcels in collaboration with the Food Bank.

Our amazing volunteers stepped forwards to help vulnerable members of our society, but they are now returning to work. And understandably want to meet up with their own family and friends again, so we find ourselves with a shortfall of volunteers as the demand grows for VASA’s services.

The NHS is catching up with the backlog of appointments and we are experiencing a huge rise in the number of people needing affordable, accessible transport. Our volunteers are truly amazing, but we need more!

Please contact Emma, our Communications Officer at: emma@vasa.org.uk if you are able to offer any help or require further information.
