Latest bulletin from Alcester South Safer Neighbourhood Team –

Attempt Burglary. High Street. Occupier of house has investigated a noise to find two males trying to gain entry to premises through rear door. These males have then made off in a vehicle. 3.55am Wednesday 3rd July. 0070 04/07/2024
Theft. Long Marston Road. Three males in a white van seen to enter private property and then steal a cement mixer. The van had a yellow strip along the side and had a registration number starting ‘KM10’. 9pm Monday 1st July. 0304 01/07/2024

Playing field closure – July update – additional

Since posting this morning’s update, a positive development.

Our contact at Warwickshire County Council has been in touch. Welford on Avon primary school have proposed a meeting between three representatives from each of the Parish Council and the school. The meeting to take place early next week (2nd week of July 2024).

There appear at this stage to be no preconditions to the meeting. Other than that, details are scant. The Parish Council regard this as a first step in the right direction and are fully prepared to engage.
