Scout & Guide Groups
1st Welford on Avon Scout Group
Are you aged between 6 and 14 years? The 1st Welford on Avon Scout Group provides scouting activities for boys and girls from Beavers through to Scouts.
Meetings are held during term time:
Welford Memorial Hall, High Street, Welford on Avon CV37 8EF
- The Cub Scout Pack (from 8 to 10 years) meets on Mondays from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
- The Scout Troop (from 10 to 14 years) meets on Mondays from 7:15 pm – 8:45 pm.
Long Marston Village Hall, Welford Road, Long Marston CV37 8RU
- The Beaver Scout Colony (from 6 to 8 years) meets on Mondays from 5.00 to 6.00pm
Do you enjoy arts, crafts, sports and going on adventures? Come and join in the fun. You’ll get to make friends, learn about different topics, gain new skills, visit interesting places and get involved in local events.
Both boys and girls from Welford and the surrounding villages are welcome.
Spaces are limited by the number of leaders we have so if any adult is willing to join us please get in touch to discuss how you can help.

Girl Guiding
Girl Guiding gives girls and young women a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and their communities. We build girls’ confidence and raise their aspirations.
1st Welford on Avon Brownies
Brownies is for girls aged 7 – 10 years old.
Girls take part in different, fun activities each week – games, crafts, trails, wide games, cooking and outdoor activities – all underpinned by our Promise and Law.
Welford Brownies meet during term-time:
- Thursday evenings 6.00 – 7.30pm
- Welford Memorial Hall, High Street
Currently, we do not have Rainbows (5-7yrs) or Guides (10-14yrs) in the village, but would welcome leaders to start them up again.
