  • Suspicious Circumstances. Farmers Lane, Area opposite Welford Hill Cottages. Silver Mitsubishi L200 pick up seen parked up on lane. Voices also heard from wooded area. Details of vehicle passed to police. No offences disclosed. 11.15pm Monday 10th July. 0525 10/07/2017
  • Theft. Church Street. Theft of green wheelie bin. Morning of Monday 10th July. Crime No:  23S6/28133D/17

Youth Academy – Warwickshire Police are hosting the Warwickshire Police Youth Academy for Warwickshire school pupils aged between 14 and 16 years old (years 9-11). Following on from the success of last year’s Academy, this year’s Youth Academy attendees will once again have a rare and exciting chance to meet many members of Warwickshire Police Force and get a chance to talk to us about how we Police and why we do what we do. Attendees will be able to experience a series of displays and demonstrations from different departments in Warwickshire Police, this will include a Police dog display, Drone flight and demonstration, Police helicopter landing and take-off, firearms officer weapons display, Traffic and Roads Policing Unit alongside Patrol Officers, Safer Neighbourhood Police Officers. (subjected to availability and weather) In addition to our Police displays and demonstrations, attendees will take part in a series of thought provoking, challenging and engaging workshops. We aim to run inputs on Cyber Crime, Child Sexual Exploitation, Social Media and discussions on Choice and Consequence. These workshops will increase attendees knowledge and understanding equipping them with new skills and increased confidence so that they can thrive in the modern world in person and online. The event will be held across the weekend of the 14th and 15th October 2017, will be held at the Ministry of Justice Staff College in Newbold Revel, near Rugby North Warwickshire, CV23 0TH. Attendees will be required to attend between 9.30am and 4.30pm both days. There is no charge for the Academy. At this moment in time we cannot confirm transport being available, the logistics of providing transport is being looked at and may become available closer to the event from selected locations. Theft of Wheelie Bins – We still have reports of wheelie bins being stolen from around the area. Bins can be marked with your postcode and house number, and this will help in its return if found by neighbours or police etc. As long as the colour and refuse type of the bin is obvious to the collectors then markings will help and deter thefts.
