New police officers – recruiting now.

If you enjoy facing challenges and solving problems and would like to contribute to keeping your community safe while developing a wider range of skills, then policing could be for you. Few jobs can be more rewarding than that of a police officer: from day one you’ll be helping to fight crime and protecting people from harm. You’ll quickly find that no two days are the same. Policing is challenging and rewarding. As a police constable, you’ll get to learn new skills, meet new people and set out on a career path that could see you specialise as a firearms officer, dog handler, traffic cop, detective or the trusted, familiar face of Warwickshire Police in the community. We have a strong family ethos, where our friendly teams work closely together to get the job done and where you will be treated as a valued member of the team from day one. In return, you’ll receive an attractive starting salary, pension and a whole host of benefits. For further information, visit our recruitment page on  –

Schools Out! – Nearly

Next week the schools break up for the six weeks summer holiday. Very occasionally criminals will use this opportunity to target school premises. Please keep an extra eye on schools in your area and if you see anything suspicious please call us on 101 or 999 as required.

And on a nicer note – For the kids looking for something to do, we enclose information from the Stratford Active Communities Team which lists their Summer Activities.

The force is running a Public Contact Recruitment Evening at Leek Wootton on Thursday, 18 July, 5.45pm – 9pm. The event will be an opportunity to find out more about a variety of roles, including:

  • Operations Communication Centre staff
  • Telephone Investigators
  • Investigation Management Unit Operators

  • Tactical Planning and Resilience Unit staff

The open evening events will be informative and supportive, providing the opportunity to find out more about the hugely varied, interesting and rewarding roles available, ask questions of future colleagues and supervisors to find out about what the job is really like, visit the potential workplace and get answers to process-related queries around the application and vetting processes. Please spread the word to interested family and friends to book their free place now at Eventbrite. Free parking and light refreshments will be available. The open evening are always very popular so its recommended that you reserve a place as soon as possible and if ‘sold out’ add your name to the waiting list.
